Small Family Garden - Hoo

Design Brief

New houses are rarely finished with a beautiful new garden to match and this new build in Hoo, nr Rochester contained little more than weeds and the few paving slabs thrown down by the original house builders.

In order to make the space more inviting we were instructed to create a garden which was suitable for a family's needs and also provided a place for quiet relaxation. The large amount of red brick used in the construction of the house as its neighbours also meant that greenery was a priority to soften the hard aspects of the surrounding houses.
